United Kingdom Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, Thursday, resigned his position following pressure from his cabinet.
The cabinet members had demanded that he steps down due to allegations of scandals.
Over 40 ministers had quit his government due to loss of confidence in his leadership.
Making this announcement on Thursday, Johnson conceded that no one is indispensable.
“It is clear that there should be a new leader,” Johnson admitted. “No one is remotely indispensable. I want you to know how sad I am to give up the best job in the world.”
He added that he would continue to give his best until a new prime minister is in place.
He, therefore, urged millions of people that voted for him in 2019 to keep unleashing the potential of the UK to make it the most prosperous nation in Europe.
