The President, Muhammadu Buhari, has honoured the Group HR and General Services Director of Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, Wale Adediran with the National Productivity Order of Merit (NPOM) Award.
This award, according to the president, is in recognition of his contribution to the country.
Adediran received the award Thursday during the National and Productivity Day (NPD) and Conferment of NPOM Awards at the State House in Abuja.
Adediran took to his LinkedIn page to share his excitement. He wrote: “Today, two days after my birthday, I got the highest recognition I have so far received in 30 years of professional practice.
“The President of my country honoured 37 distinguished persons and to God’s glory, yours truly is among them.”
He added that the preswith the medal of honour, and presented with a plaque and a certificate signed by Mr. President.
Adediran expressed further: “The certificate was signed and dated 10th May 2022, my birthday! What a birthday gift this year. I am humbled, oh Lord.”
The NPOM Award was instituted by the Federal Government through the Ministry of Labour and Employment. It is to reinforce productivity consciousness and excellence in both the public and private sectors.
