Fuel Souvenir: Erelu Okin Apologises for Sharing Fuel

The Erelu Okin of Orile Kemta, Pearl Chidinma Ogbolu, Saturday apologised for sharing kegs of fuel as souvenirs at her installation party in Lagos.

Ogbolu, who shared a dancing video alongside her apology, put her actions down to “momentarily indiscretion”.

Her words: “My intent was just to show appreciation to my guests for turning up at my event at these hard times.”

She further noted that she had paused to reflect and truly apologise and she acknowledged all for their understanding and criticisms.

“As ERELU OKIN, my mission is to beautify lives. 1 will continue to strive to be better and do better. Thank you.”

Her expression of regret is coming after the State government shut down the Havilah Event Centre in Oniru, where the party was held.

The Lagos Police Commissioner, Abiodun Alabi, also ordered the arrest of those involved in the fuel distribution, adding that it contravened safety of lives and property of citizens
